Do You know Jesus?
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Savior of the world. He came to this earth to die for our sins and to bring us into a relationship with God the Father.
Everyone is a sinner. In this day and age, no one wants to think of themselves as sinners, but that’s exactly what the Bible says about each and every person in the world. The Bible says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” and that means everyone.
Your good works cannot save you. Many people say, “Well, when I stand before God, I’m sure my good deeds will outweigh my bad deeds, and He will let me into Heaven.” Friend, there is no good deed you could do that would take away your sin. The Bible says in Isaiah 64:6 that all of our attempts at living right are like filthy rags. We are all sinners, and one thing is for sure: we cannot save ourselves!
That’s why Jesus came!
The good news is that Jesus came to save us! The Bible says, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16).” The Bible tells us that Hell is a real place, a place of eternal separation from God that will be filled with torment. But you do not have to go there! Because of Jesus Christ, you can spend eternity in Heaven!
No matter who you are or what you have done, you can be saved right now! Jesus took the penalty for our sin when He died on the Cross. He was without sin, so His death on the Cross made Him our substitute and the perfect sacrifice. Only His blood was pure and sinless, so only His blood can wash away our sins. He died and was buried in a tomb, but on the third day God raised Him from the dead! All power has been given into His hands and He is more than able to save you. There is no other way to salvation. Jesus said of Himself, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father (God) but by Me (John 14:6).” The Bible says that if you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confess Him with your mouth, you will be saved (Romans 10:9). God will adopt you into His family, and you will have an eternal inheritance and a home in Heaven. He’ll make you a brand new creature. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new (2 Corinthians 5:17).” Won’t you pray right now?
Pray this prayer:
Father, I believe that You sent Your Son to save me. I believe that He died on the Cross and that He rose again on the third day. I ask You to forgive all my sins and wash me in the precious blood of Jesus. I receive Your free gift of salvation. Thank You for saving me and adopting me into Your family. Thank You for making me brand new I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen!
Do you know Jesus?
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved..
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
